While much of southern Australia is bracing itself against one of the wettest and wildest winters for many years, many hard core riders can see through the mist that the spring riding season is just around the corner. The promise of dry roads, cool but sunny days and fresh growth sprouting up along the road edge is enough to get riders out in the garage to give their machines some love and attention.
If you are a GS rider then we’ve got the perfect excuse to see some wildflowers in the Victorian High Country. The annual Snowy Ride is on again in November and the GS Adventure Ride has to be the ideal way of making your way to this event and enjoying it to the max. The atmosphere around Thredbo for the Snowy Ride is great with a real mix of bikes and riders adding to the brew. Get in on it!
If you are a hard core off-road rider then no doubt you’ll be tuning into the box for a couple of weeks after New Years Eve when the Dakar Rally raids South America again. If you’re a hard-core BMW off-road rider then you’ve now got even more reason to stay glued to the box with a pair of BMW G 450 X prepped by speedbrain taking on the Dakar in a factory effort.
Some say the motorcycle market is down at the moment but try telling that to the BMW S 1000 RR. This brute of a superbike is causing grief to the established sports bikes on the market. On the race track, the story is the same with the outright grunt of the S 1000 RR proving a formidable force. Read the test reports and race results and you'll see the verdict is unanimous - the S 1000 RR is the new SuperBike.
