Why we will always love the Deus Heinrich Maneuver.
The BMW Motorrad x Deus Ex Machina collaboration was a highlight of 2015. Teaming up with world-renowned custom motorcycle design house, Deus Ex Machina was a big step into the custom motorcycle scene for BMW Motorrad Australia.
The Deus Heinrich Maneuver was BMW Motorrad Australia’s first custom collaboration. Like all first experiences it will be always be remembered.
You never forget your first time, right?
The R nineT was the perfect fit for the project as it was BMW Motorrad’s new platform for custom builders. The project was an exciting 6 months watching
Deus work their magic to build a custom interpretation of the BMW R nineT.
The partnership was a coming together of like minds, shared visions and visceral desire to evoke the spectacular.
“The objective of the build was to create a blend of BMW heritage with a hint of R nineT technology.”
The synergy between the two brands appealed to a larger audience and the project showcased the R nineT model.
We love the standout features of the customised Deus R nineT. Impressive hand crafted detail, a replaced 30 litre tank and kangaroo suede seat.
The unique finishing details to the bike represent an amalgam of old and new.
The custom badges are made from spare bolts and alloy parts that were removed from the bike during the build process.
The fact that we can re-live the Heinrich Maneuver build process also adds to our love for the bike. A step-by-step build process was recorded through live blog posts and images you can view them here.
We also love the R nineT because it was loved by many. The Heinrich Maneuver received alot of local and international PR, the build featured on popular motorcycle and lifestyle blogs such as Bike Exif, HYPEBEAST and RPM TV.
The Heinrich Maneuver made its way around the country at selected BMW Motorrad dealers as well as popular motorcycle events such as Phillip Island MotoGP, the 2015 Motorclassica and the 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show.
The Heinrich Maneuver is an incredible machine that reflects the pure synergies between BMW Motorrad and Deus Ex Machina.
The success of the project has lead to Deus Ex Machina manufacturing Heinrich Maneuver T-shirts. Some fans have been lucky enough to get pre-sale stock at motorcycle shows. For those who didn’t, T-shirts will be available to the general public from April through Deus Ex Machina’s wholesale accounts.
